Darrington Loggers VS LMS

On Monday afternoon after school the LMS boy's basketball team was going to host the visiting Darrington Loggers. Because
Darrington is so far away from our school the games wouldn't start until 3:30. When the loggers finnaly arrived they only had Varsity teams. The seventh graders played first. After a close first quarter the pulled away. When our game started we were ahead 11-1 in the first four minuets. From there on we continued pulling away. At the end of the game the loggers started being very poor sports. At the end we won 54-17. This was our highest point margin all season and our starter hardly played at all.

Game VS Coupeville

Monday at 1:51 I got out of fifth peroid to go the Granite Falls for a basketball game. After I got my shoes and jersey out of my locker and headed behind the school where the bus was waiting. I got a seat all to myself near the back of the bus. As we left for the ferry a seating chart was passed around. After I put my name on the sheet of paper I laid back and rested. Once the ferry began moving our team was able to the passenger deck of the boat. Once we got to the top island rival, Coupeville was up there as well. They said they had lost to Kings in the last game. As the ferry was docking we went bakc down to the bus. After another 30 minutes on the road we arrived at Granite Falls. After we got changed and watched JV and 7th grade varsity it was our turn to play. After a close first quarter we stepped up our game and won 48-30 to go to 2-0 for the season.

UW Game

This weekend I stayed at my grandparents house from Saturday afternoon until Sunday evening. I was there to go to the UCLA and UW college basketball game. As we were driving to the Bank of America Areana we were predicting the score of the game. I guessed UCLA would win 72_48. The outcome of the game would prove me very wrong. For the first couple minuets both teams were equal but UW pulled ahead at half time to lead by 6 points. The second half started the smae as the first half did. UCLA tied the game in the middle of the second period. Near the end UW pulled away again. UCLA had to fowl every time the Huskies touched the ball. Although UW diddn't make many of their freethrows they still won and the whole building went crazy. UW had beat #4 UCLA and I was there to see it.

Basketball Game vs. Lakewood

On Tuesday afternoon the announcement came on to realease the boy's middle school basketball team. As I left the classroom of Mr. Bergquist I felt excieted and nervous at the same time. As I boarded the school bus and checked to make sure I had all of my stuff my nerves left me and I couldn't wait to arrive in Lakewood and show who the real LMS Cougars were. As we got of the ferry I sat back, closed my eyes, and thought about the upcoming game. As we arrived at Lakewood and got changed my fears came back. As I was getting ready for the opening tip I was really nervous even though we had trounced Lakewood the first time we had played them. I won the tip and my fears left again. As the game got going I had several points, assists and steals. Going into halftime we were winning by 17 points. As we took the court 5 minuets later, I knew I wasn't going to play much the second half because we were up by so many. After the 3rd quarter we were winning by 25 points so our coach took all our starters out. We won 51-22.

Portland

Over the past weakened my family and I drove down to Portland on Friday. We arrived in the city around 1:30 in the afternoon . The first day in Portland we walled around for a long time. Then, it got really cold and started raining so we checked in at our hotel and stayed there for the night. The next morning my family and I went to the mall in central Portland We didn’t stay for long but I bought an iPod Touch. After lunch we went back to the hotel to get ready for the climax of the weekend. My cousin was getting married. We drove to a church just outside of Portland. After a short ceremony we drove back into Portland for the reception. The reception was at a huge hotel in the middle of Portland. After hugging the bride and groom everyone ate dinner. After the delicious cake every one started dancing. All of the songs sucked so we stayed a talked to lots of family and friends. We left about one hour later. The next morning we packed and drove home. The weekend was fun and I will always remember it.

Christmas

Over the course of my life I have had a lot of great Christmases. My family usually either has the holiday at my house or at my grandparents house in Eastern Washington. No matter where we have it, it is always a great joy. My earliest memories of Christmas are of running around my grama’s house looking for presents. I can also remember opening presents almost every year. At my house my whole family makes seafood and sushi and Christmas eve. At my grandparents house we always eat turkey and ham. My whole life I have always dreamed of a white Christmas. I’m still only dreaming. It is always fun to spend Christmas with family and friends. Even though it may sound bad, my favorite part of Christmas is opening presents. No matter what you get it is always fun to rip open the colorful rapping paper and find what’s inside.
